Hey IMABI I updated my profile a bit. I'll probably need to update the part about being a 4th year university student since I'm technically graduated but I'll wait for a bit to hear news from my Japanese work prospects.

Oh, also instead of the word 大学, it may be best to use 学部, which means undergrad. That's normally what you hear.

You will undoubtedly have questions about the material. So, whenever questions do arise, be sure to ask then. If you hold off, you could forget or start having misunderstandings. A lot of stuff is happening all the time here, so never hesitate to ask what's going on. I'm trying to make things easier and add features, so there is always something to look forward to.

を Is the direct object marker. It is after the direct object, not the verb. 専攻する is a transitive verb and 理科 is the direct object. The difficulty comes from wording differences between English and Japanese.

専攻科学です → 理科を専攻しています。
